General Description:
The primary role of this position is to provide participant support, coordinate program logistics and processes and assist with all phases of program implementation to serve people with disabilities and their communities. This key position works throughout the program season to help ensure excellence, safety, and meaningful engagement. The Program Coordinator works closely with participants, partners, outfitters, Program Leaders, and other No Barriers staff. This position may support camps, retreats, expeditions, events, online experiences and courses for a variety of populations including veterans, caregivers, adults with disabilities, and youth.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Coordinate participant registration process
Coordinate and conduct participant interviews and scoring applications
Develop or update necessary forms (application, registration, release, etc)
Support participants during the pre-program phase (information, communication, forms)
Support program launch (website input, marketing materials development)
Coordinate and support program logistics (transportation, lodging, food, communications, etc.)
Procure program supplies and materials
Organize materials and supplies for Program Leaders
Assist with Inventory, organization, distribution, collection and tracking gear (including in the Fort Collins warehouse)
Plan for program accessibility (location reconnaissance, participant needs, equipment procurement, program plans)
Support evaluation administration (materials preparation, data entry)
Deliver virtual/online programs (opportunities, virtual events, courses)
Coordinate and support program volunteers
Support development of annual program calendar
Assist with the planning and execution of Program Leader training
Provide expense information for budget reconciliation
Position Focus
All program staff may be required to work with any population and on any type of program. However, No Barriers strives to focus positions on particular areas of work in order to leverage expertise and efficiency. This Program Coordinator position is designed to primarily support Youth, Caregivers, and Adults with Disabilities Additionally, this position will have a role in planning and executing the No Barriers events.

Support curriculum and activity planning
Work across departments to create and improve upon operational systems and processes while enhancing interdepartmental relationships
Contribute to positive organizational culture through intentional actions
Represent No Barriers at social, informational, professional, and development events – participate in synchronization meetings prior to execution
May facilitate specific activities during programs
May work as a Program Leader
May drive vehicles including a 15-passenger van
May provide support for first aid and emergency evacuation operations

Non-profit and/or outdoor recreation industry experience preferred
Experience working with veterans, youth, caregivers, or people with disabilities
Experience coordinating logistical details for experiential programming
Experience executing adaptive programming and planning for accessibility
Outdoor recreation and facilitation skills
Ability to support virtual/online experiences
High-level skills using the Google Workspace suite (Docs, Sheets, etc.)
Desired education and formal training—
Bachelor’s degree or higher in a field related to communications, education, business management, or recreation or related professional experience
Wilderness First Responder or Wilderness First Aid certification
Experience facilitating Challenge Course and/or Rock Climbing activities
Work environment—
Based out of the Fort Collins home office requiring use of a computer
Option to work remotely some of the time
Field work to support and/or lead programs
Field work at the NB mountain campus located in Red Feather, Colorado and at the warehouse in Fort Collins
Possible physical activities--
Lifting and carrying up to 50lbs
Moving boxes that contain program gear and equipment
Standing at exhibit table, carrying luggage and gear, riding in boats/rafts, hiking or backpacking (possibly at high altitudes), facilitation of challenge/high ropes course and rock climbing
